VFW Voice of Democracy, Patriot’s Pen and Teacher Award Programs

Post 9934 is now accepting applications for these VFW youth development programs. Contest entries for these programs must be submitted through a local VFW Post. This Post, located in Dana Point, California, works with schools in the south coastal area of Orange County. Individuals may submit contest entries to any VFW Post. NATIONAL POW/MIA RECOGNITION DAY

A special service for National POW?MIA Day will be conducted at the Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, on Friday, September 20, starting at 12:00. The public is invited.

The Naval Hospital, as sponsors of this program. would be honored to have any former POWs and their family members as special guests. For information, contact Petty Officer First Class Jessica Zunk at (760) 725-1223.

Dana Point Concerts in the Park Season

A tremendous Summer Season of Concerts for Dana Point VFW Post 9934.

Thanks to the hard work of our Grill Masters and Food Servers and other workers, the Post received $13,908 in food sales and donations during the six concerts. A tremendous THANK YOU to all the workers, and to the City Staff that made all of this possible.

The funds received from these events have contributed to the capability of Dana Point Post 9934 in our services to veterans. So far this year, the Post has provided $59,000 in varous forms of assistance to veterans including programs designed to … read more »
